Principal Analog IC Design Engineer

This is a new opportunity for a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer to join a solid and growing Semiconductor company based in Edinburgh working on low-power, high-performance Analog/Mixed Signal IC Designs in advanced CMOS processes for consumer applications. Responsibilities include:

• Drive and decide key technical system requirements for Mixed Signal IC development
• Build the Analog toplevel including defining power strategy and top level layout
• ESD and IO driver design
• Simulation of toplevel systems in Virtuoso Spectre (or similar)
• Lead design reviews
• Mentoring other engineers
• Review and sign-off of the chip top level for tape out

Experience is required in; ADC and DACs or DC/DC design. Familiarity with Analog-on-top or Digital-on-top design flows is required as well as a solid understanding of using Verilog-A, and System Verilog or Matlab. You will have experience in coordinating small teams of engineers from design to successful tape-outs.

Masters or PhD qualified in Electronic Engineering or Microelectronics, you will have relevant experience in Analog/Mixed signal CMOS circuit design along with a good knowledge of Analog IC Design on sub-micron CMOS processes and the design and layout of high precision, low power circuits.

Excellent communication skills are required with the ability to work well in a team and thrive in a dynamic environment. You will be organised, thorough and detailed with a high level of self-motivation, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
