Principal Antenna Engineer

We are currently working with a worldwide leading wireless broadband solutions provider looking to bring a Principal Antenna Engineer into their Antenna design team to support with detailed Antenna Design.

In this position as a Principal Antenna Design Engineer, you will liaise with the product support engineering team to fault find within Antenna design. In addition to this you will be involved with the design improvements for detailed Antenna Design. You will also be supporting junior engineers and mentoring their progress.

 Experience as a Principal RF Design Engineer:

• An excellent understanding of antenna theory, phased array principles, and electronically steerable arrays. 
• Experience in designing Antennas for volume manufacturing.
• Experience in antenna design from 1-60GHz a MUST, desirable up to 90GHz
• Expert user of simulation tools such as ADS and CST/HFSS.
• An excellent understanding of the impacts of Antenna performance on Transmitters and Receivers.
• Able to demonstrate a history of novel antenna designs that have had a disruptive impact on cost, performance, or both.
• An excellent understanding of RF printed circuit board layout techniques.
• Familiarity with schematic capture packages such as Cadence CIS.
• An excellent understanding of Regulatory requirements on antenna performance.
• Experience in maintaining and using an Anechoic chamber for internal design proving and development. 
• In addition, flexibility is a key requirement in this small company; all employees are expected to undertake other tasks as the situation demands.  In particular, engineering staff is expected to help out with system testing, on-site equipment trials, etc.
