Principal Engineer, Analog IC Design

Between €70-85K dependent on experience


A world leading semiconductor company is looking for a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer to join their team in Cork, Ireland.

Throughout this role, you will help with the development of new product solutions for portable consumer applications.

Responsibilities include: 
  • Leading the detailed definition and architecture development of high-performance mixed signal devices
  • IC block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation
  • Conducting technical presentations to internal engineering team and customers
  • Using recommended design and verification techniques, tools & flows to produce efficient designs which meet all specified functional, power and timing objectives
  • Successful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems
  • Supporting other job functions such as layout, lab evaluation and test to ensure successful delivery meeting all requirements
  • Continuing to improve Analog design methodologies consistent with the group’s wider business objectives to reduce time and cost to market.
Additional Requirements of the successful Principal Analog IC Design Engineer include:
  • Industry degree qualified the successful to a senor level
  • It is preferred if you have design experience with circuits such as switching power supply circuits such as buck / boost converters
  • Good knowledge of Analog and Mixed Signal electronics, tools and flows.
The successful candidate will be expected to take a full cell or system ownership role and contribute to the development of new products from architecture selection to implementation and debug

Strong people leadership, inter-personal, teamwork, and communication skills are required.
