I am currently looking for a Principal Functional Safety Engineer to join a global technology company specialising in the design and development of innovative semiconductor solutions.
As the Principal Functional Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the functional safety of our integrated circuit (IC) development projects. You will be responsible for applying your expertise in ISO 26262 standards and methodologies to guide and support the development teams in achieving functional safety goals.

As the Principal Functional Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the functional safety of our integrated circuit (IC) development projects. You will be responsible for applying your expertise in ISO 26262 standards and methodologies to guide and support the development teams in achieving functional safety goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams in implementing functional safety processes and best practices throughout the IC development lifecycle.
- Define and drive the safety concept, hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety requirements engineering activities.
- Collaborate with system architects, hardware and software engineers, and verification teams to ensure the implementation of safety mechanisms and features.
- Develop and review safety-related documentation, including safety plans, safety cases, and safety analysis reports.
- Conduct safety audits, assessments, and reviews to identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in functional safety standards and technologies, providing guidance on their adoption and implementation.
- Act as the main point of contact for functional safety topics, both internally and externally, representing the company in customer meetings and industry conferences.
- Extensive experience working on functional safety for integrated circuit development, preferably within the automotive industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 26262 and its practical application in the development of safety-critical systems.
- Strong understanding of IC design, verification, and validation processes.
- Proven expertise in conducting safety analysis techniques such as FMEA, FTA, DFA, and HARA.
