Principal Functional Safety Engineer

Looking for a new challenge?  I have an interesting opportunity for an experienced Staff Functional Safety Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our clients IP products. You will work closely with design and verification teams to define and implement functional safety requirements in to the designs, and contribute to the development of ISO26262 work products, with a focus on process systematic capability aspects and Safety Analysis (FMEA, FMEDA, DFA).

This will be the first Functional Safety hire within Paris and will provide the succesful Staff Functional Safety Engineer with the opportunity to make their mark on the team and the way that they view safety in the buisness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the correct execution of the Functional Safety Life Cycle and support the assessments of our IP products.
• Lead Functional Safety Change Impact Analysis and support Change Management, Document Management, and Configuration Management plan.
• Compile the IP Safety Plan, Safety Case, and Safety Manual.
• Create Safety Analyses, including FMEA, FMEDA, and DFA, and prepare related safety reports.
• Define or contribute to HW Functional Safety Requirements and Technical Safety Requirements, and work with architects, designers, and design verification leaders to implement them.
• Lead the revision of the Safety Plan, Technical Safety Concept, and SEooC Assumptions..

Requirements:

• Experience in Functional Safety Management or architecture, including Safety Analysis and Safety Planning.
• Must have experience within Silicon IP, or ASIC design
• Strong understanding of ISO26262 standards and processes.
• Experience with FMEA, FMEDA, and DFA.
