Principal IC Digital Designer

New opportunity as Staff / Principal IC Digital Design Engineer - working for an exciting semiconductor company, based in the beautiful setting of Neuchâtel, overlooking the lake.

I am looking to speak with Senior / Staff /Principal digital IC Design Engineers with 10+ years of experience, to join their growing team and help support new, cutting edge projects.

Key responsibilities

• Definition of block-level specifications of high-speed digital circuits that meet key performance targets based on system-level requirements.
• Analog/digital interface specification in close cooperation with analog/mixed-signal designers.
• RTL design and testing.
• Close interaction with verification and physical implementation engineers to verify circuit functionality and compliance with area, timing and power requirements.
• Support for post-silicon lab bring-up, debug, characterisation and productisation.
• Support and interaction with customers on requirements, design specifications, performance results and product delivery.
• Manage workload and schedules and report to internal management team and external customers.

Experience

• BSC / MSc in electronics/electrical engineering (equivalent or higher).
• 10+ years’ experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong technical background in ASIC digital design - RTL coding, knowledge of system verilog etc,
• Understanding of UVM verification is a bonus
• Understanding of back-end / physical design flow - RTL to GDS flow, PnR, synthesis
• Fluent English, French is a bonus
• EDA tools, scripting - python etc
