Principal Team Lead - Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design - R&D

We are working with a company that is seeking a Principal Team Lead - Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer with a strong background in Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design and an understanding of Digital IC Design to manage a team of 5-10 engineers.

The IC Development team is responsible for the design of integrated circuits that operate at deep-cryogenic temperatures. They are developing new innovative circuits and you will be a key part of this team helping with the aspects of IC design cycles from the initial concept to production.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Architecture definition, implementation planning and execution of AMS ICs for Quantum applications.
• Technical management of a team (5-10) IC engineers including Analog Designers, Analog Layout Engineers, Digital Designers, PnR Physical Designers.
• Individual contributor, or peer reviewer for IC block design, such as high speed Data Converters, wireline IP and chip interfaces.
• Supporting post-silicon setting up and debugging of test benches to evaluate the performance of ICs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the RF IC Design team, the IC Validation team as well as the Quantum physics teams, to achieve the project goals.

You will have a strong background in Analog IC Design ideally with experience in PLLs and A/D converters. Experience with circuit design on FDSOI 40nm process or below is ideal along with knowledge of Verilog-A/AMS and low power CMOS Analog circuit design desired. You will have a strong understanding of Mixed Signal and Digital IC Design in order to lead Digital and Physical Designers and help to grow the Digital segment within the company also.

You will have exposure to physics elements in this role and will work with Superconductors to understand how they behave differently. This role also presents the opportunity to work with new devices and concepts not seen before. You will have the chance to work with best in class components with the view to enhance performance of the end product.
