My client’s company, who differentiates from old quartz timing industry, who is number one in the world for oscillator supplier, and having 3,000,000 devices in over 300 applications, is seeking for professionals to join their team in Japan, and now have an opening for a Principal Validation Engineer to join their team.
 
German industrial company Robert Bosch and Taiwanese semiconductor company TSMC are the company's foundry partners. Top customers include Apple, Fitbit, Garmin, Samsung, Google, Microsoft, Dell…etc.

As a Principal Validation Engineer, your role will manage:

• Grow and lead a team of engineers responsible for validation, characterisation, and release-to-production of MEMS-based timing products.
• Interface with cross-functional teams, vendors, and manage projects across different sites.
• Plan and execute device verification and characterisation.
• Work with MEMS and circuit design teams to evaluate new silicon and recommend design improvements for enhanced performance.
• Design, develop, and confirm PCB test platforms and firmware to enable automated data acquisition & analysis.
• Develop and transfer algorithms to final test and production environments.
• Perform engineering failure analysis to root cause product issues.
• Innovate and prototype system architectures and innovative technologies for next-generation products.

Salary ranged from JPY$ 20M+ Yen depends on ability.

Requirements:

• MS or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Exceptional candidates with other backgrounds will be considered.
• 10+ years of experience in the productisation of semiconductor sensor-based devices
• Experience leading engineering project teams and creating and executing verification and characterisation plans.
• Strong, fundamental knowledge of mixed signal circuits.
• Hands-on experience with electronics lab instrumentation. Prior experience with metrology systems for evaluating timing parameters is preferred but not required.
• Excellent programming skills and prior experience with MATLAB and/or Python.
