I am looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join an innovative company in the Sat Comms space developing ground-breaking software-defined service enablement platform capable of linking with all satellites, all networks, in all orbits, all at once.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company launching a platform which integrates intelligent routing, edge computing and on-demand services to deliver unprecedented network resilience and application performance. 

As Purchasing Manager, you will:
  • Hire and build a purchasing team to execute all tactical procurement of material on time and cost
  • Provide clear visibility to the business of material availability linked to build plans, and also to suppliers of short, medium and longer term demand identifying any rate capacity issues
  • Identify risks and expedite supply to meet the production plans, and implement lean supply chain tools such as vendor managed inventory (VMI) and demand replenishment models
  • Develop and maintain reports on supplier performance, on time delivery quality, etc – and initiate projects to resolve inefficiencies
  • Work with suppliers and generate a Ruff-Cut capacity sizing model
  • Understand stock keeping unit (SKU) variation with relation to material demand planning and advising the balance of production with material planning
  • Ensure we are executing on time to meet delivery dates, clear to build (CTB) kitting availability. 
Ideally; You’ll Have:
  • Experience as a lead electronics Purchasing Manager – leading a team in a production environment
  • Experience with document/data management and control responsibilities, and configuration management and change control
  • Experience with regulations such as RoHS, REACH, CE Marking and WEEE
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management tools and quality standards
  • Experience of process generation, development and continual improvement
  • Strong organisational skills, project management experience, and an excellent communications style
