R&D Embedded SW Engineer

Actively seeking a versatile engineer with experience of embedded software and an understanding of electronics to join a leading technology company based in Edinburgh. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative software and have the luxury and autonomy to be creative within this role, to work on a variety of different research and development projects. On the flip side, you will have a highly proficient software and electronics team supporting you in your every move who will be able to assist and point you in the right direction, operating within a market with will see enormous growth over the next 10-15 years.

The successful R&D Embedded Software Engineer will have an enthusiasm for software development, an inquisitive mindset and a broad engineering skillset.

For this R&D Embedded Software role, we are looking for someone with:

• Commercial expertise in Embedded C development
• Experience with bare metal software development
• Ideally, you will have experience in developing drivers for low level communications interfaces (SPI, UART, I2C)
• Knowledge of electronics
• Knowledge of process driven software development
