Senior Analog IC Layout Engineer

I am excited to be working on a new opportunity for a Senior Analog IC Layout Engineer to join a team based in Southampton that specialises in designing and manufacturing world-class infrared imaging products.

These innovative products are utilised in applications such as remote sensing, thermal imaging, and border surveillance, making this role critical to advancing technology in these fields.

Working within the Analog/Mixed Signal IC design team, the Senior Analog IC Layout Engineer will be working at transistor level where you will translate schematic designs into Layout solutions to achieve the specification and project schedule. You will have a clear understanding of Layout best practices and will have the ability to complete bespoke Analog/Mixed Signal and Digital Layout designs in CMOS technology.

Experience is required in some or all of the following: 

• DRC and LVS
• Top Level Verification
• Experience working on 40nm and below
• Cadence IC design suite of tools.
• Analog/Mixed Signal and/or Digital IC design skills/knowledge
• Parasitic extraction and evaluation
• Layout of block level designs from scratch, working on schematic capture and simulation of the designs
• Image Sensor/Pixel Design experience (ideal)

Industry degree qualified, the successful Senior Analog IC Layout Engineer will have 5 years minimum experience in a similar position. Experience leading more junior members of the team would be of interest.
