Key job responsibilities as a Senior Antenna Engineer:
- Conducting antenna design, modeling, and analysis for various components such as feed antennas, dielectric lenses, arrays, and radomes.
- Developing antenna designs suitable for both mass production and prototyping.
- Analysing simulation and measurement data using software tools like Matlab, Octave, Python, etc.
- Optimising models using multi-objective stochastic optimisation techniques.
- Leading or assisting with prototype antenna measurements.
- Preparing presentations and reports encompassing design concepts, simulation results, and performance metrics.
- Demonstrated experience in bringing products to production.
- 5-7+ years of expertise in antenna design, modeling, and analysis, with a focus on specialised areas including homogeneous and inhomogeneous dielectric lenses, antenna arrays (such as phased arrays, transmitarrays, and reflectarrays), and beam shaping through metamaterials.
- Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation using 3D full-wave modeling software like HFSS, CST, FEKO, etc.
- Strong programming skills in Matlab, Python, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with a variety of RF testing equipment, including signal generators and spectrum analysers.
- Experience working with Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills or a willingness to lead the team and act as a deputy for the Director when necessary.
- Knowledge of transformation optics and transformation electromagnetics.
- Expertise in anti-reflection coating design and optimisation.
- Proficiency in optimisation algorithms, particularly multi-objective stochastic optimisation.
- Familiarity with conventional optical lens design as well as gradient index (GRIN) optics.
- Experience with automated electronic testing using scripts or similar methods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team of engineers.
- Willingness to occasionally travel internationally as required.
