Senior ASIC Digital Design Engineer

Exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital IC Design Engineer, to work in the beautiful setting of Portugal - in either Porto or Lisbon.

Our client is one of the world’s fastest-growing Semiconductor companies, with HQ in the US and a 20-year background delivering high-performance solutions and ICs to a whole range of market areas including cloud computing, consumer, and automotive for some amazing companies & global brands!

They are a billion dollar turnover company with enormous growth and development plans - so business is thriving for them! They are now seeking multiple Senior Digital Design Engineers to help build a brand new team in their new design centre.

Within the role you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, architecture definition and development of digital and mixed-signal ICs utilizing leading edge technologies with industry standard ASIC tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant field, with 5+ years' work experience in ASIC digital design/development processes.
• Excellent RTL Verilog or System Verilog coding skills.
• Knowledge of standard Digital Verification languages (System Verilog, UVM) and metrics.
• Very good understanding of the backend flow: Synthesis, P&R, DFT, Power, LEC and STA.
• Excellent communication skills / fluent English.

Knowledge/Experience with the following is a plus:

• Automotive standards
• Analog / mixed-signal IP or chips
• Embedded designs and/or firmware development
• Knowledge of power management industry/applications
• Analog/mixed-signal block design
• I2C, I3C, SPI, USB, PMBUS
• FPGA design and validation
• ARM designs
• Scripting and automation languages like TCL, Python and C/C++

The role is of course open to locals, and those who want to move to, or return to this beautiful country.
