We are seeking a Senior Director to head up our global client’s design centre based in Berkshire.
Our client is one of the world’s top-tier semiconductor leaders delivering cutting-edge ICs to the automotive and industrial markets. They now seek a Senior Director to become the site leader for this key development centre, which comprises circa 70 people and operates teams both for the automotive and commercial business groups.
The Senior Director will be responsible for all personnel on the site; he/she will tie the multiple managers on each design team together and deliver the products they are developing. This long-established design centre has a superb culture, and the Senior Director will maintain this positive environment and tone for the while site, working with the HR business partner in a way that is consistent with local customs and laws.

The Senior Director will have:
- An exceptional and extensive background in IC development (analog or digital IC design knowledge)
- Natural people management skills
- Executive-Level Communications Skills: to be able to concisely and accurately convey complex technical and operational information to senior executives.
- Operational depth: an awareness of all and if necessary, manage any aspect of the working of a design centre in terms of facility, health and safety, financial, HR and related non-design activities.
- Organizational talent – an ability to assess the skills and expertise of each and every person in the team
