Senior Embedded Software Applications Engineer

A Senior Embedded Software Applications Engineer is sought by this leading optoelectronic developer to be based at their SoC R+D Centre in Braunschweig. The Senior Embedded Applications Engineer will be responsible for supporting customers during product design and development around application specific DSP SoC chips. This will include working closely with the embedded software team, IP architects and the digital and analogue design teams. The Senior Embedded Software Applications Engineer will be using their hands on development and test skills to ensure product quality and customer acceptance across emerging optical communications applications.

After completing your education, you will have gained 4+ years of experience developing embedded real time software under RTOS / Linux in C. You will understand developing software at SoC level and have a real grasp of developing software at hardware interface. Some exposure to DSP applications would be beneficial as would a knowledge of complex IC design and optical fibre communication systems. You should be happy working closely with customers and a successful track record in application engineering would be a bonus.
