Senior Hardware Engineer, Telecommunications
Salary: £60k - £80k per year + Excellent Benefits
Our client in Reading is seeking a talented Senior Hardware Engineer to join their fast-paced design team, working on ground-breaking satellite and telecommunications technology. You will be responsible to take designs through the full product development lifecycle. Reporting directly to the VP of Hardware, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on world-first technology and gain exposure to a range of exciting projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in complex multilayer PCB design, testing and troubleshooting. They’re currently hiring multiple heads and are interested in speaking with Engineers who specialise in analogue or high-speed digital designs.

The Senior Hardware Engineer's typical responsibilities will include:
- Designing complex hardware
- Board bring-up, verification and tests of the hardware in the lab.
- Prepare and present design and analysis summary material.
- PCB design and board rework.
- Work closely with the wider design team to ensure the projects are progressing in a timely manner.
For this Senior Hardware Engineer role, your experience must include the following:
- Experience with complex multilayer PCB design/layout, and integration.
- Testing and troubleshooting.
- Full product lifecycle, with proven experience in a range of different projects.
- High-speed digital design, high-speed bus design (DDR, PCIe etc)
- An understanding of power supply, power management and switch-mode power,
- Knowledge of design to regulatory compliance.
