This is a new role that has just come to market for an established company based in the Thames Valley, UK who currently seek a Senior Manager to manage a team of circa 12 Analog IC Design and Layout Engineers. This highly specialised team are responsible for designing high reliability circuits such as ADCs, amplifiers and references for state-of-the-art image sensors for Automotive applications. This position would suit someone with an Analog IC Design background who has technical management experience and who is proficient with putting project together and providing technical insight and guidance. The role itself is a technical management position which is more people management than hands on design.

The Analog Team supplies a significant part of the whole product and you will be expected to work closely with other teams around the world to deliver high quality products. They have a specialist laboratory where you will be expected to plan and execute the measurement and characterisation of the blocks designed by your team.

The successful Senior Analog IC Design Manager will have a minimum of 10 years industry experience. A background and understanding in Analog IC Design is required along with experience leading an Analog IC Design team.

Experience in some or all of the following is required:  
  • Experience in a range of process nodes
  • Expert user of Analog design tools (Cadence, Mentor etc.)
  • Deep understanding of circuit layout techniques
  • Solid understanding of practices for assuring device reliability and high yield (DFM)
  • Device modelling experience (Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog, etc)
  • Chip design with Analog-Mixed-Signal subsystems
  • Coding skills – Scripting (Ocean/SKILL)
Experience is highly desired in the following:
  • Knowledge of switched capacitor techniques and low power ADC design would be advantageous.
  • Low power and Sigma-Delta ADC design
  • Project leadership
  • Silicon Image Sensors
