Senior Physical Design Engineer - Oslo 

I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physical Design Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge technology! This role would best suit a highly skilled professional who can take ownership of the physical implementation of digital logic in advanced CMOS image sensors.

As a Physical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the full synthesis, placement, routing, and verification of digital logic, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will work with industry-leading EDA tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in the development of next-generation imaging and sensing applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the floorplan preparation, including multiple power domain implementations and optimisations.
• Perform logic synthesis, placement, and routing for complex designs.
• Implement test structures such as scan chains and memory built-in self-test (BIST).
• Conduct thorough timing analysis and closure to meet performance requirements.
• Evaluate and mitigate voltage drops on power and ground networks.
• Analyse and optimise signal integrity for high-performance designs.
• Document implementation processes and participate in quality assurance reviews.
• Engage in DevOps practices to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Support silicon validation and mass production phases by evaluating chip function and reliability.

Required Skills and Experience

• MSc/PhD in Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
• Strong expertise in physical implementation methodologies, including synthesis, place & route, and timing analysis.
• Experience with industry-standard EDA tools 
• Fluent in English
