Senior Physical Design Engineer

Physical Design Engineer - Edinburgh / remote

I am looking for a Physical Design Engineer to come and join my client in Edinburgh. You will be a joining an American start-up who are working in the optical interconnect field that are used at high density and low power consumption.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to take the next step in their career taking on a diverse role that has plenty of scope to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Master or PH.D. degree in Electrical Engineering
• 7 years experience in digital backend design from RTL  all the way to GDS with full understanding of the backend flow for high performance chips.
• Experience with Synthesis tools, constraint file optimisation and debugging.
• Good understating of at speed DFT, memory BIST and ATPG.
• Experience with P&R tools and low power optimisation.
• Experience with Formal verification tools.
• Experience with STA tools.
• Experience with IR and EM tools

Although this client is based in Edinburgh, they are happy for Engineers to work 100% remotely if they are already based in the UK.
