Senior Project Manager

I am looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join an innovative provider of applications based on IC design and software development. This is a great opportunity to work on industry-leading software and hardware semiconductor solutions for smart devices, IoT applications, and automotive electronics.

As Senior Project Manager, you will be based in Gelderland, Netherlands leading one or more multi-site, multi-disciplinary project teams consisting of highly skilled professionals, through the different project phases from definition, through to execution phase and release for mass production.

Responsibilities:

• Direct major ASIC / SoC product development projects within the agreed time, meeting agreed performance, costs and quality targets
• Day-to-day management of multi-site cross functional engineering teams consisting of HW, FW and SW engineers.
• If required provide architectural and technical guidance, and ensure that sound engineering practices are followed.
• Organize all development activities, together with the allocated project team, from the definition phase until product release to mass production
• Execute according to defined product development process as defined within the Business Unit
• Create and track full scale project plans (including detailed WBS for all team members)
• Report project progress towards all stakeholders and responsible for gate and milestone passings related to the allocated projects
• Professional execution of risk and issue management
• Stakeholder management: close cooperation with customers (internal and external) and suppliers during the complete development project.
• Align with resource managers on resource / skills demand and ensuring that team members have the required tools

Requirements:

• BSc./ MSc. or PhD. in Electrical Engineering
• Several years of experience as multi-site Project Manager in Semiconductor Industry (IC / system development)
• Proven track record in successful execution of projects related to product development of integrated circuits, covering all phases from concept definition to release for mass production
• Strong pre: experience with automotive grade product development.
• Hands-on experience with end-customer engagement / interaction (preferably in automotive market segment)
• Willing to travel on regular basis
• Experience in leading multi-site, multi-disciplinary teams (team size > 20 people)
• Experience with development of embedded systems, combining HW, FW and SW
• Experience with project and product life-cycle management (covering concept, introduction plan, implementation, validation, test, customer introduction and maintenance).
• Knowledge of embedded systems, hardware/ IC design, software development and testing
• Proven track record in project management: release products to the market meeting time, quality, performance and budget constraints
• Display high ‘sense-of-urgency’ and ‘can-do’ mentality
• Ability to drive and motivate teams and collaborate effectively
• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results, having pro-active, assertive and flexible attitude
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
