Senior Test Engineer

My client is looking for their next Senior Test Engineer to support the growing team working on the design, manufacture, testing, and commissioning of board and system-level test equipment for their cutting edge products. 

Responsibilities for the Senior Test Engineer: 

• Design, build, and commission test equipment
• Generate test specifications and create comprehensive manufacturing data packs for test equipment.
• Develop tools, methods, and techniques to enhance test equipment design.
• Collaborate with the wider engineering team to develop a design-for-test (DFT) strategy for new products.
• Ensure all technical compliance and regulatory standards are met, including the maintenance of relevant test documentation and certifications.
• Coordinate and manage external laboratory testing to ensure products meet all regulatory approvals.
• Provide guidance to engineers on regulatory compliance during product development.

Requirements for the Senior Test Engineer: 

• Experience as a test and regulatory compliance engineer in an industrial environment.
• Proficiency in microcontrollers, FPGA, CPLD, mixed analog and digital circuit designs, ADC, and DAC.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, CAN Bus, I2C, SPI, and USB.
• Experience in schematic capture, PCB design, and layout tools.
• Practical experience in software design for test equipment, including scripting languages, C and C++, and in-circuit debugging (ICD).Strong debugging skills with the ability to integrate and validate electronics and system designs.
