Silicon Photonics Engineer

Role Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Silicon Photonic Engineer to design, test, and optimise photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for optical networks. This hands-on role involves simulation, prototyping, and close collaboration with fabrication teams to bring products from concept to production while contributing to our IP portfolio.

Requirements

• 5+ years in silicon/III-V photonic device design and PIC optimisation
• Experience with photonic CAD tools, RF/SI simulation, and tape-out with photonics foundries
• Deep understanding of optics, including passive and active components
• Proficient with simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, IPKISS) and Python scripting
• Skilled in optoelectronic lab testing and equipment setup
• PhD in silicon photonics or MSc/BEng in a relevant field with extensive experience
