Staff SoC Design Engineer for a growing division

New Cambridge office, UK

Located in the beautiful City of Cambridge, I am looking for a SoC Design Engineer to join my client’s processor business unit and work with their multi-sited global Silicon Development Team in design and development of complex SoCs. The work will include SoC design integration, microarchitecture, design verification, synthesis, test methodologies as well as supporting post silicon bring up.

You will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior engineers to grow the team. This position requires a proactive and highly motivated candidate with a proven record of success in a multi-site and multi-functional team environment.

To be suitable for this position you ideally need to have been involved with several tape-outs and led teams. You will be instrumental in the Design and integration of complex IPs and subsystems into SoC and must have a good understanding of SoC requirements and architecture specifications.

  • Expertise in digital design with an understanding of System on Chip architectures
  • Working experience and thorough understanding of ARM AMBA bus protocols
  • Working experience in complex SoC design and verification projects
  • Expertise in RTL coding using Verilog/SystemVerilog
  • Good Understanding of C and previous experience and proficiency in any one of commonly used scripting languages.
  • IP/SoC Synthesis experience
  • Proficiency and experience in configuration and integration of some of the following SOC component; DDR/LPDDR SDRAM, PCIe, USB, MIPI, GPU
  • Experience working with cross functional global teams
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with ARM Cortex based SoCs
  • Experience in IP/SoC Verification
  • Experience/Understanding of verification using UVM
  • Experience in STA and timing closure
  • Experience in Emulation/pre silicon validations
  • Experience in Post silicon bring up
  • Experience in ISO26262 based SoC design flows
