VP Engineering

We are seeking a VP Engineering to join a well-funded start-up developing fascinating optical processing technology for high performance computing. This role can be based anywhere in the UK or Ireland.

The VP Engineering will be building a brand-new IC design team from scratch which will revolutionise big data processing and model generation through optical processing technology. The VP Engineering will be tasked with building and managing the ASIC team (to 10 people initially) which will focus on mixed CMOS / silicon photonics chips. The VP Engineering will take control of the complete silicon design process, and ultimately take on the role of CTO of Silicon.

The right candidate for the VP Engineering position will be a highly technical person and experienced leader, with an exceptional background in digital / analog IC design and experience of multiple tape outs. Any prior knowledge of imaging / photonics would be beneficial, although not essential.
