I am currently working with an innovative start-up in the image sensor sector, as they approach their next funding round, they are expanding their leadership team and looking for an experienced and motivated VP of Operations to join them in their offices in Barcelona.
As the VP of Operations, you will be central in scaling and streamlining our operational capabilities. You will be responsible for leading materials and process development, optimising workflows, and ensuring seamless collaboration across departments. This position will also involve building a high-performing operations team from scratch, playing a key role in shaping the company's future.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the overall operations strategy, focusing on scaling and process optimisation
- Lead materials and process development in alignment with our product goals.
- Manage relationships with manufacturing partners and suppliers in a fabless model, ensuring operational quality and efficiency.
- Recruit, train, and manage an operations team to support company growth.
- Collaborate closely with the R&D, product development, and supply chain teams to drive operational success.
- Contribute to strategic planning as part of the executive leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in operations.
- Proven experience in operations leadership within a fabless semiconductor or related high-tech industry.
- Strong background in materials and process development, particularly in manufacturing environments.
- Experience scaling operations and building teams in a start-up or high-growth company.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and team-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional collaboration.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation and operational excellence.
- Competitive base salary (€80,000 - €120,000), depending on experience.
