style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">This role places you at the centre of CPU innovation \u2014 working alongside leading architects and design teams to shape high-performance, low-power processor technology from early concept through to silicon delivery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">As a CPU ASIC Design Engineer, you\u2019ll play a key role in CPU RTL development, contributing to architectural exploration, microarchitecture definition, and complex implementation challenges where power, performance, and efficiency are critical.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">What you\u2019ll be doing<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Collaborate with CPU modelling teams to explore and evaluate high-performance design strategies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Drive microarchitecture development and specification from early architectural concepts through to detailed implementation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Own RTL design and refinement, balancing power, performance, timing, and area constraints<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Support performance verification activities to ensure architectural goals are achieved in silicon<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Work closely with physical design and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust, production-ready designs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Contribute to decisions that directly influence next-generation processor performance and efficiency<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">What they\u2019re looking for<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong understanding of microprocessor architecture and CPU design principles<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Proficiency in Verilog and\/or VHDL<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Solid grounding in logic design, timing closure, and power optimisation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Knowledge of low-power microarchitecture techniques<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Understanding of high-performance CPU design trade-offs and architectural strategies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or
