The role will involve the design and developing new power semiconductor devices (silicon and SiC) for overvoltage and overcurrent protection products. Leading chip design, modelling, layout, characterization, and qualification activities while supporting manufacturing, process improvements, and new product introduction will all be required.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Key responsibilities<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Design and layout semiconductor devices for internal and external wafer fabrication<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Collaborate with product management, sales, and applications teams to define and develop new products<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Use semiconductor physics, wafer fabrication knowledge, DOE, SPC, DFM, FMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize designs and processes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Perform device modelling, simulation, characterization, testing, reliability assessment, and failure analysis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Prepare engineering documentation, product specifications, and datasheets to support product release and compliance with IATF16949 standards<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Support transfer of products from development into production.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Required qualifications &amp; experience<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Significant semiconductor product development experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Proven experience designing power semiconductor devices in <strong>silicon or SiC<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong understanding of:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Semiconductor physics<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Wafer fabrication processes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Design of Experiments (DOE)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Statistical Process Control (SPC)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Failure analysis and reliability testing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Electrical characterization techniques<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with semiconductor CAD\/design tools such as <strong>Silvaco<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Please contact Rachel Anderson for further details.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our international client is currently searching for a Senior Power Semiconductor Design Engineer to join the team.
