This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys going deep on performance modelling, distributed systems, and real hardware behaviour \u2014 with direct influence over architecture decisions at scale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>What you&#8217;ll do<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Build simulation models for compute, memory, interconnect, and communication behaviour across large-scale ML systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Develop tools to simulate training and inference workloads across distributed accelerator clusters<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Model distributed execution patterns including collectives, synchronisation, and communication bottlenecks<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Run experiments and benchmarks on real ML systems to calibrate and validate simulation models<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Analyse end-to-end performance: throughput, latency, scaling efficiency, and cost\/performance tradeoffs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Collaborate with hardware, software, networking, and ML teams to communicate findings through design recommendations<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\"><strong>What we&#8217;re looking for<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Master&#8217;s or PhD in CS, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong background in ML systems, distributed systems, performance engineering, or simulation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience analysing compute, communication, and memory behaviour in large-scale ML systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Hands-on benchmarking, profiling, and measurement of ML systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Familiarity with distributed training concepts: data\/tensor\/pipeline parallelism, collectives, synchronisation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">To find out more please reach out to Charles Duran.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re partnering with a well-funded, research-driven organisation at the frontier of large-scale ML infrastructure.
