You will be supporting production and deployment of optical ground stations. This is an exciting opportunity for a technician to work in a fast-growing Photonics and space technology company.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-family: &#039;Segoe UI&#039;;font-size: 14px;line-height: 20px\">\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Responsibilities<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">&nbsp;Assemble, integrate and test complex optical and optomechanical subsystems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Support system-level integration and verification of optical ground station products<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Perform precision optical alignment and troubleshooting of optical assemblies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Develop, maintain and improve test equipment and ground support equipment<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Manage component procurement, supplier coordination and incoming inspection activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Maintain inventory and ensure availability of materials and components<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Produce and maintain manufacturing documentation and controlled build procedures<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Support customer deployments, installation activities and field maintenance when required<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Requirements<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Experience in optical assembly, integration and test environments<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Hands-on experience building and testing complex optical systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Strong optical laboratory and troubleshooting skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Experience working independently within multidisciplinary teams<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused approach<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Willingness to travel internationally for customer and deployment activities<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Desirable<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Experience with laser communication systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Precision optical alignment and optomechanical assembly expertise<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Experience transitioning products from prototype to serial production<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px;color: #000000\">Experience improving manufacturing processes and production workflows<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Verdana\">Benefits include equity options, wellbeing perks, and 25 days annual leave<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;color: #000000;font-size: 14px\">If you are interested in the Optical Technician role, please apply or contact Ella Flynn for more details.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My client is looking for an Optical Technician, working on Assembly, Integration &amp; Test, focusing on laser communication systems.
