The Role<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Join a growing engineering team developing embedded software and firmware for real-time systems. You will be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from architecture and implementation through to integration, testing and release.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Develop embedded software and firmware in C.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Design and implement software architectures for new products.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Support system integration, verification and validation activities.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Improve CI\/CD, automated testing and software processes.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware\/software issues.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Produce technical documentation and test reports.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Essential Skills<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Strong commercial embedded C development experience.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • RTOS experience (FreeRTOS, Zephyr or similar).<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Embedded Linux knowledge.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience with ARM Cortex and\/or RISC-V platforms.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Low-level hardware interfaces including SPI, I\u00b2C, UART and ADC.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Hardware\/software debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analysers.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Git, CI\/CD and automated testing experience.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Strong Linux command-line and GNU toolchain knowledge.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Desirable Skills<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Python and Bash scripting.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Embedded Linux kernel or device driver development.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Control systems experience.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • ESA, aerospace, defence or safety-critical industry experience.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Agile\/Scrum environments.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • GitFlow and modern development practices.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
