{"id":241772,"date":"2026-07-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-07-20T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/jobs\/mechanical-engineer-490775\/"},"modified":"2026-10-18T14:16:57","modified_gmt":"2026-10-18T13:16:57","slug":"mechanical-engineer-490775","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/ic-resources.com\/en\/jobs\/mechanical-engineer-490775\/","title":{"rendered":"Mechanical Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">An opportunity to work on the design and development of mechanical systems for space applications, within a fast-paced and highly technical engineering environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">You\u2019ll take designs from initial concept through to manufacture, integration and qualification, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop robust solutions for demanding applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">What you\u2019ll be involved in:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Creating detailed CAD models, engineering drawings and technical documentation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Supporting mechanical, structural and thermal analysis to validate designs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Working across engineering disciplines to develop and optimise design solutions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Contributing to design reviews, testing, integration and qualification<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Working closely with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable and meet quality requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Solving design challenges and driving improvements throughout the product development lifecycle<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Supporting the delivery of engineering projects against technical requirements and timescales<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">We\u2019re looking for:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within the space industry<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies for space or other high-reliability applications<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong knowledge of mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacture<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience with CAD and engineering analysis tools such as Creo, NX, SolidWorks, ANSYS or equivalent<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience producing detailed engineering drawings, with a good understanding of GD&amp;T and precision tolerancing<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">If you enjoy taking designs from concept through to real hardware and want to work on technically demanding products for the space sector, this could be a great opportunity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Apply now or contact Gemma for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An opportunity to work on the design and development of mechanical systems for space applications, within a fast-paced and highly technical engineering environment.
