The work involves turning demanding electrical specifications into designs that perform consistently, can be manufactured reliably and meet cost targets.<\/p>\n<p>As Principal RF Engineer, you will lead the development of RF\/mmW circuits, modules and systems, making design decisions and guiding other engineers. Your remit will cover simulation, component and MMIC selection, system line-up analysis and tolerance assessment, alongside practical verification of the finished hardware.<\/p>\n<p>Working with mechanical, electronics, PCB layout, manufacturing and test colleagues, you will review designs, manage technical risks and resolve issues during product introduction. This gives you involvement beyond simulation: understanding how design choices affect assembly, measured performance, yield and reliability.<\/p>\n<p>You will bring:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Significant RF\/microwave or mmWave circuit or system design experience, supported by a relevant degree or equivalent expertise.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Practical experience with tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, CST or EMPro.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A strong understanding of system line-up analysis, tolerance\/yield analysis and design for manufacture.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience leading technical work, reviewing designs and supporting other engineers.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A practical approach to verification and fault diagnosis; experience with amplifiers, transceivers, filters or integrated modules would be valuable.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The role offers technical leadership while retaining direct involvement in design and engineering delivery. Hybrid working is available within a 37.5-hour week, with relocation assistance and Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available where required.<\/p>\n<p>Salary is benchmarked at the upper end of the market.
