You\u2019ll operate in a technically strong environment where functional safety is taken seriously, and where your input shapes architecture-level decisions rather than being bolted on at the end.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Our client develops system IP and integration technology used by leading semiconductor companies worldwide. Their teams work closely across architecture, design and verification to deliver scalable, safety-compliant IP for complex SoCs and chiplet-based designs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Reporting into the IP Engineering function, the Functional Safety Engineer will take ownership of hardware functional safety activities, ensuring ISO 26262 compliance across safety requirements, analyses and documentation. You\u2019ll work closely with architects and design teams to define safety mechanisms at both architecture and micro-architecture level.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Responsibilities include<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Acting as the functional safety lead for semiconductor design IP products<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Defining and maintaining hardware functional safety requirements and technical safety concepts<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Producing and reviewing safety analyses including FMEA, FMEDA and DFA<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Supporting the selection and implementation of hardware safety mechanisms<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Maintaining safety documentation including Safety Case and Safety Manual (SEooC)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Performing safety impact analysis following design changes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Supporting fault-injection planning, execution and review activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Ensuring requirements traceability across tools and documentation<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">What you\u2019ll bring<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Strong background in digital design, SoC architecture or verification<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">3+ years\u2019 experience in functional safety for semiconductor applications<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Solid understanding of ISO 26262 and safety-driven development flows<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Familiarity with micro-architectures and hardware safety mechanisms<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Working knowledge of ARM architectures and AMBA protocols is beneficial<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Experience using standard EDA tools and structured engineering processes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Master\u2019s degree (or higher) in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent experience<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">Why this role stands out<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;font-size: 14px\">You\u2019ll work on safety-critical IP that underpins some of the most widely used SoCs in the market, with strong collaboration across highly technical teams.
