We are looking for a proactive and seasoned ARS buyer, who has the ingenuity to identify areas of expansion within the supply chain. You will work with Senior Traders, Commodity Managers, Sales Managers, Order Management, Asset recovery Group, regional offices, and Sales to ensure full customer service. The ideal candidate is an autonomous worker, with excellent negotiation skills and a strong electronics background. The candidate would ideally be based in Munich, Düsseldorf, Budapest, Gdansk or Warsaw.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide efficient trading and service levels for asset recovery transactions with key target accounts.
  • Working with key suppliers, whilst also generating new leads for supply chain development.
  • Procurement of products such as computers, computer peripherals and accessories, semiconductors, subassemblies and other electronic items.
  • Develop, search, and service an account base by extracting material availability, vendor requirements, creating opportunities, negotiating transaction variables, and closing orders.
  • Prospecting for new accounts and mapping out developed and assigned account base (customers) in order to pull in or create new product availabilities and to make proactive offers to trading teams within the company.
  • Identify and create innovative purchasing opportunities and programmatic schemes.
  • Become a territory expert with regards to customer and distribution networks. Support the Sourcing function with any project which has interests in your region of expertise.
  • Maintenance of accounts and database.
  • Create supply and sales opportunities by utilizing the QTrade system.
  • Execution and understanding of the purchase order process, as well as implementation of strategic procurement processes.
  • Engage with other key stakeholders in the company to maximize trading potential for all Sourcing activities. Ensure total customer/vendor satisfaction.
  • Learn, understand and stay up to date on market conditions including, customer/vendor base and their availabilities and requirements, pricing and competitive alternatives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience in the electronics industry.
  • Ability to define, develop, nurture and maintain new/existing accounts and internal relationships.
  • Travel required (pending restrictions).
