Purpose of Role:
  • To develop and implement on a Sales Plan in order to achieve or exceed Billings targets as set and agreed with the Sales Manager
  • Identifying new customers to generate new business
  • Identify new projects at current customers to generate new business
  • To follow up leads provided by the Sales team
  • To service the customers requirements in a professional manner at all times
  • To establish and manage pricing in achieving or exceeding Gross Margin targets as set and agreed with the Sales Manager
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Identify target market sectors which best fit the companies capabilities
  • Identify new opportunities in North England & Scotland
  • Achieve agreed sales and financial targets – turnover and Gross margin
  • Turn new opportunities at new customers – maintain quote log and visit reports
  • Prepare a professional quotation in writing within the timescale pre-determined by the customer.
  • Establish and maintain a Project Log
  • Manage and develop relationships with key target customers 
  • Ensure cost effective management of business with regard to stocking, product obsolescence and new product introduction
  • Provide accurate and up to date pricing
  • Monitor sales performance highlighting risks and identifying actions to reduce or eliminate risk
  • Provide updated information re market, customers & competition where applicable
  • Advise Marketing Dept on new features and updates to the existing website
  • Advise Marketing of updates to existing Catalogue
  • Keep the quote log maintained in conjunction with internal sales team
  • Follow up new business as highlighted by Sales Manager
Skills & Experience:
  • Strong commercial and strategic experience working to performance targets.
  • Strong people interface skills.
  • Customer focused being proactive in addressing problems and realising opportunities
  • Ability to work to given timelines and within given guidelines
  • Good communication and reporting skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good presentation and sales negotiation skills.
  • Strong Project Management skills and experience.
  • Proven track record of sales success within the Company’s markets.
  • Ability to undertake any other reasonable duties as requested from time to time by your immediate manager.
