A new opportunity has arisen for a CAD Support Engineer to join a fast growing start-up company based in the UK’s technology hub of Cambridge.
This position would suit an experienced CAD/EDA Support Engineer with experience in supporting Analog IC Design teams with EDA tool usage. You will be automating the configuration of Analog IC Design environments as well as the automation of testing and installation of PDKs and EDA tools whilst managing a broad range of PDKs for Analog and Digital.
Experience is required in some or all of the following:
- An excellent understanding of Mentor, Cadence and Synopsys environments, setups and uses
- Understanding of PDKs, structure and content
- Installing and configuring EDA tools
- Managing EDA licenses and license servers
- Automation and scripting
- Understanding of Spice/Spectre models
- Physical verification decks and configuration
- Linux/Unix environments
- Revision control within an EDA environment
Experience with Python, Skill and/or TCL, bash/csh scripting would be beneficial. Any practical analog IC design experience is also of interest.
Industry degree qualified the successful applicant will have 5 years minimum experience in a CAD/EDA Support position.
Excellent communication skills in English as well as the ability work well within a team are required and the desire to make a positive contribution to an exciting new start up company is of course essential! You will be enthusiastic at helping and supporting an industry-changing approach to Analog IC Design which also makes this opportunity even more unique and exiting from a CAD Support perspective.
