A well-known Semiconductor company and supplier of the automotive industry is looking for talented Engineers to further develop concepts and methods for the EDA design environments with a focus on one of the following areas:

Analog Mixed Signal ASIC Design in advanced nodes for use in Automotive Electronics

OR

The Analog part of the Mixed Signal ASIC Design flow for use in Automotive Electronics ASIC design unit

OR

The Digital part of the Mixed Signal ASIC design flow for use in Automotive Electronics

Your responsibilities in this position will be:
  • Gathering the requirements of all design teams (worldwide, including future needs) and promote the generalisation of project-specific solutions  
  • Coordination of the release and further development of methods and tools for the assigned area and you align our requirements with EDA- and Technology-suppliers
  • Support of the worldwide introduction of methods and training of the users (incl. the documentation inside the Reference Flow)
  • Collaboration with the IT team in order to fulfil the design requirements as well as ensuring good performance of the assigned tools (regarding Linux, servers, HPC/Grid, Storage, etc.)
  • Ensuring the operation and support within the CAD/IT-team for all ASIC designers worldwide
  • Assisting quality and ISO26262 requirements for EDA tools, both for in-house developments and vendor products
The successful candidate has the following qualifications and skills:
  • BSc or Masters in electrical engineering
  • Expert knowledge and experience of state of the art ASIC design tools (EDA-vendors e.g. Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) and SW-development-methodologies and -tools (Linux, script- and programming-languages as well as Cadence Skill) 
  • 5+ years of experience in ASIC development flow, design tools and SW/HW-environment 
  • You have the ability to identify and analyse tasks efficiently within the scope of your work and to develop pragmatic application-specific solutions.
  • You have a pronounced ability to communicate and relevant experience in the methodology of problem solving as well as in the cooperation and leadership of international and cross-functional teams (incl. responsibility readiness, initiative, flexibility and target orientation)
  • English (fluently speaking, reading, writing)
