Work with Distributors and OEM Accounts to grow sales for the region to meet or exceed agreed budgets. Assist customers in adopting our products into their designs. Drive design-in design-wins and conversion at OEM customers .
Provide customer’s projects with product recommendations /configurations during design-in phase and provide technical advice throughout the design cycle and very importantly, through to order receipt!
Be the point of contact for customers technical requirements. Establish relationships and comprehensive knowledge of key customer Technical and Engineering personnel, product roadmaps and decision makers.
Proactively manage our Opportunity Management system to detail accurate and up to date information, reflecting live opportunity assessments and up to date business forecast information.
Make an optimum number of face to face sales calls to engineering, procurement and other related departments. Demonstrate a detailed understanding of both the customers sector and business drivers/challenges.
Provide key information to customers including tolerance analysis, application evaluation and testing. This activity should be done in collaboration with Product Management and Product Design teams.
Assist in the creation of technical marketing materials including technical papers, product training modules, product video’s, product short forms, product presentations and product specifications.
Be aware of and provide input to the Product Development Team on market price levels, any new / observed market trends and future product requirements.
Provide quarterly report to the Business Development Manager – Southern Europe on customer project and activity status, changing market trends, other significant activities from previous quarter and plans for next quarter.
Attend and participates in sales meetings, training programs, exhibitions and trade shows as directed.
Always present a professional demeanour and image. Control company expenses appropriately and submit monthly expense claims in line with company guidelines.
Produce a visit report for all customer visits in a timely manner. Actions to be effectively communicated to personnel together with achievable completion dates, as applicable
This role requires strong technical knowledge of electronic components and the market, in order to have the ability to influence design related decisions as well as providing after sales support to customers. It will need the person to work independently and directly with customers as well as support the company sales teams.
5-10 years’ field based experience in a Technical / Business Development role.
Strong Commercial and Technical knowledge of the electronic components industry and ability to communicate that knowledge.
Degree or equivalent in Electronic / Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be preferred.
Ability to create and present technical presentations to Customers and Management.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact and influence key contacts. Engaging, out-going personality.
Must speak fluent English and be able / willing to travel internationally as required
