A well-known company within the Electronic Components market is currently seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer to join their UK based Sales Team. This person must already have relevant experience working with Electromagnetic components such as: Transformers, Inductors, Relays, etc. 

The role will be remotely based & will require some travel in the future within the UK & Ireland.

Qualifications & Knowledge:
  • Experience in selling Magnetic products
  • Experience in general electronic sales
  • Engineering degree or equivalent appropriate experience
  • Knowledge of UK and Ireland Market
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven strategic business development experience
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of customer base and markets/applications
  • Computer literate; proficient in the use of Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Main Duties & Accountabilities:
  • Setting a profitable Sales Strategy for growth across the UK and Ireland
  • Building and developing strong customer relationships
  • Supporting customers in design through to production
  • Identify new business opportunities across the complete product range
  • Working with Strategic Suppliers
  • Achieving Monthly, Quarterly and Annual sales and design target
  • Effective utilisation of systems and tools
  • Proactively identify new customers and target markets for product range
  • Follow-up and develop business leads with new and existing customers
  • Achievement of monthly and annual sales/margin targets and personal objectives
  • Maintain a good understanding of the franchised products and services and their potential applications and markets
  • Present and demonstrate to customers the benefits of the products in terms of specification, quality, price, technical benefits, logistics support, timely delivery, etc.
  • Successfully negotiating, implementing, and managing contracts & winning orders to meet the customer & company’s expectations
  • Provide detailed feedback and reports on sales activities to Line Manager
  • Timely management of any administrative duties including:Planning & Organising work schedule and set up of appointments / visits
  • Updating and maintaining database records
  • Forecasting, monitoring, and evaluating sales figures for the region
  • To participate in Exhibitions, Sales meetings, Business and other meetings as required
