This is a great opportunity to join a Global leader in engineering within their busy Planning & Shipping department

Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Administers the complete Perpetual Inventory (P.I.) process, issues, reports and adjustments.
  • Ensures the count process is in line with company procedures.
  • Process sales order workflow requests into SAP
  • Maintains and adjusts production order start and commit dates within SAP, when appropriate.
  • Tracks clear to build kit dates for sub-assemblies.
  • Supports the management of the visual operations planning board for all production orders
  • Maintains and updates SAP Material Master data as required.
  • Responds to product lead time requests from Sales and Program Management.
  • Ships product in line with commit dates to maximise customer OTIF and the revenue objectives within the business.
  • Analyses SAP finished goods inventory and sales order data, to determine daily / weekly / monthly shipping priorities.
  • Ensures SAP shipping notes are raised, and invoices are posted within the same day.
  • Runs in-day SAP reports to ensure all shipments are posted accurately.
  • Identifies SAP shipping blocks, such as customer credit holds to colleagues, to resolve by shipping due dates.
  • Supports the troubleshooting of any internal and external shipping delays, and effectively communicates progress and timing.
  • Ensures the execution of any manual shipping processes are managed within defined procedures.
  • Ensures documents and records are appropriately maintained and filed for future reference. 
Desired qualifications/characteristics:
  • Previous experience of using SAP planning, shipping and sales order processes.
  • Experience of working within a defence related environment.
  • A working knowledge of ITAR regulations.
  • A good understanding of Incoterms 2010.
  • A good understanding of customs procedure codes and the UK tariff system.
  • Knowledge of documentary credits.
  • A working knowledge of US, UK and EU export regulations.
  • Knowledge of HMRC procedures.
  • Competent in using MS Office applications.
