A successful and growing Semiconductor company based in the French speaking part of Switzerland, currently seeks a CAD/PDK Support Engineer to join a diverse team of technical specialists to interface with the foundries, evaluation, installation and maintenance of PDK, PDK documentation, standard cells and process data.
Working within an established CAD Support team you will be co-responsible for methodologies and mixed-signal design flows for IC and System design engineers as well as providing technical training and support in the development of design flows for multi-site engineering teams using industry standard EDA software such as Cadence, Mentor, Synopsys, Cliosoft, etc.
You will assist tool evaluation, tool selection, drive consensus, deployment, support, and flow development and improvement and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of other CAD Support related tasks within the organisation.
Industry degree qualified the successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role. Experience in PDK evaluation, installation and interface with tier 1 foundry partners (e.g. TSMC, GF, etc) for advanced process nodes (16nm FinFET and below) is required.
Experience in some or all of the following is required:
- Experience with multiple CAD flows: backend, frontend, validation, and digital verification methodologies
- Understanding of project execution requirements, digital, analog, mixed signal IC design flows
- Hands-on knowledge of PDK evaluation, interface with foundry for selection of PDK, libraries, and verification rule decks
- Continuously improve quality of flows, develop and deploy systems and design methodologies
Excellent communication skills are required along with a track record of delivering technical solutions and satisfying customers requirements.
