Process improvement & Performance Manager

This is a great opportunity to join a leading Global logistics provider working on their biggest accounts and making a really difference to customer operations and successful service delivery.

The Division
  • The division manages the largest accounts. Many of these accounts have specific and demanding performance targets
  • The division is responsible for delivering the operational performance for all customers
  • The Process improvement & performance manager will secure
  • More pro-active performance monitoring, per account or across accounts
  • Structural performance improvement plans based on decent root cause analysis for accounts having issues
  • Key is that performance ownership remains the responsibility of the operational divisions, but that the performance manager helps the operations identify and resolve structural issues, and has the personality and perseverance to put things in motion

 
Job tasks
  • Account specific performance management
  • Receive and assess support request to develop and manage a performance management plan for a specific account
  • Define the scope of the plan together with account and business owners
  • Fact finding, data gathering, interviews
  • Analysis, problem identification and root cause assessments
  • Formulate improvement action plan, with responsible action owners within the organisation (business, IT, IS, etc) 
  • Follow up on the improvement action plan
  • Hand-over to responsible account / business / system owners
  • Generic product and organisation development
  • Develop generic concept / approach towards account performance management
  • Identify / establish / collect tools and practices and make these available for the organization
  • Develop and maintain a network of people having similar roles within the organization. 
  • Investigate (automated) performance monitoring and alerting based on available data / reports 
 Requirements
  • Analytical mind-set with strong process / system focus
  • Experience Quality / performance management through various methodologies (8D, DMAIC, Lean, etc)
  • Understanding / affinity with logistics operations: knowing what works in practice and what not
  • Strong communicator, building effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation 
  • Independent, self-driven whilst being a team player. Convincing personality, able to pull things forward from a project management role
