As Professional Services Manager you will oversee the IT Project Portfolio and manage a team of 4 highly skilled engineers who deliver a range of projects including, security, network deployments & Cloud Technologies. You will be responsible for the pre-sales to project process, project allocation, resource management and project communications. In addition to this, there will be key projects which will require close project management, which is part of this role.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the project portfolio, considering priorities, deadlines and resource requirements
  • Source and manage third parties
  • Ensuring the process is followed by all parties from Sale, through delivery to handover to Helpdesk or customer IT
  • Ensure that the CRM system is up to date and all parties, both internally and externally are kept up to date on a daily basis
  • Manage teams’ skills, certifications and development plans
  • Ensure that your team work closely with all other departments in the business
  • Ensure the projects are financially profitable
  • Ensure that the team targets are measured & met, implementing corrective actions should they go off track
  • Be a point of escalation for Engineers, Account Managers and customers.
  • Management of large projects, ensuring a full project plan is in place and followed
The Candidate

  • Prior experience of managing a skilled professional services and project management team
  • Experience of implementing and maintaining internal processes
  • Self-motivated, with a can-do approach
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of people
  • Logical and organised approach to handling all matters
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Experience of project management
  • Ability to manage multiple differing tasks
  • Prince2 or equivalent certification
  • A technical background so has a basic understanding of the technologies we implement.
