Our client, a growing pure-play SME within the analytical life sciences ecosystem is looking for a VP of Business Development to drive engagement with key pharma/ life science clients.
This is a senior role within my client but requires a hands-on approach. You will take responsibility for the entire sales cycle from initial client engagement to final contract negotiations. You will have proven negotiation skills and be a skilled communicator with the ability to operate at the highest level both internally and externally. The sales model is purely direct.
Candidates interested in this role should meet the following criteria:
- Ideally degree qualified in a science or relevant discipline
- Several years proven experience of winning business within the life sciences/ pharma marketplace
- Prior experience of Artificial Intelligence or analytics would be VERY beneficial
- Expertise in building partnerships with pharmaceutical and life science companies across the discovery and clinical development pathway
- A strong existing senior contact base within the target marketplace
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work to tight deadline
- Ability to thrive within a scale-up
