A new opportunity has arisen for an Applications Engineer to join one of the best known names in the industry. This is an opportunity for an existing Applications Engineer to further their career or for an Analog IC Design Engineer looking to move into more of a customer facing role while at the same time, having the opportunity to be at the forefront of technological advances.
This role offers a great opportunity to utilise your strong technical skills to work with semiconductors companies adopting methodology solutions and you will have a chance to work on some technically demanding IC design development solutions and leading-edge nanometers process technologies.
A business minded individual, you will be tasked with communicating solutions with an emphasis on Analog/Mixed-Signal and RF custom IC design platforms and more specifically on the Front-End part (simulation/verification). You will be assisting customers during sales campaigns and product evaluations, resolving customers design challenges, adoption from concept to successful deployment of design flows.
* Acquire strong technical understanding of the complete IC design/verification flow.
* Drive best practices and lessons learned from training deliveries, tool benchmarks and customer interactions back into product development and AE community.
* Build understanding of customers 'needs as well as competition's technology.
* Improve existing design methodologies and develop new methodologies leveraging ever evolving solutions and services.
Industry degree qualified the successful Applications Engineer will have a minimum of 3 years experience in either Analog/Mixed Signal IC or RF IC design or CAD/EDA support within an Analog or RF IC Design environment, ideally within Cadence tooling and associated design methodologies. Experience of UNIX environments with preferred knowledge of SKILL, C or other computer languages is important as well as excellent problem-solving skills. Interest and ability to learn new technologies is required. Experience on Mixed-Signal simulation and verification (including modelling) is required.
Some travel to customers sites is required. You will be a strong team player who is passionate about technology but also understands business requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential with knowledge of the French language ideal but not a must have.
