Applications Engineer / Customer Support (FPGA)

Our international client is looking for an experienced FPGA Application Engineer / Technical Support Engineer. Your primary focus will be to help OEM licensees overcome technical hurdles so that they can implement our client's solutions into their products effectively and quickly.

It is expected that you will have the following experience;

  • Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Strong knowledge of FPGA technology, (Xilinx, Altera etc)
  • Good knowledge of embedded tool flow and FPGA toolchain
  • Some understanding of ARM and x86 architectures would be advantageous
  • In addition knowledge of Ethernet & IP protocols would be beneficial

You will be responsible as the main contact point for all technical support and design enquiries from OEM partners in EMEA- this will include day to day activity responding to emails and phone calls, investigating, debugging and reproducing issues whilst providing workarounds where possible.

In addition you will generate technical documentation such as technical notes, whitepapers and FAQs and provide technical training to OEM partners.
