My client, a leading provider in electrical components and connectors, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of the company's customer base. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate new business opportunities within the defined region.
  • Conduct sales into OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) clients.
  • Execute approximately 6-8 customer visits per week to nurture relationships and close deals.
  • Identify, approach, and develop relationships with potential clients in the Test and Measurement, Medical, and Defence/Security markets.
  • Drive the sales of electrical components and connectors, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Utilise your sales expertise to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Demonstrate the technical benefits of our products to prospective clients.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in an electrical-related area. Experience in connectors is a significant advantage.
  • Strong sales experience in the OEM sector.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • A self-motivated and results-driven approach to business development.
  • Flexibility to work from home and meet at our Worthing HQ every 1-2 months.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the defined region (anticipated mileage: 20,000-25,000 per annum).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and comfortable with the use of a company car.
  • Drive and ambition to work towards higher-level positions within the company.
