CAD Support Engineer

This is an opportunity for a EDA/CAD Support engineer to join a dynamic and growing company based in Cambridge, UK. A chance to get involved in a variety of tasks and contribute your experience and expertise within a new team of Analog IC Design Engineers working in cutting edge technology for the medical sector.

In this role the CAD Support Engineer will be working on supporting design activities for the development of cutting-edge technology for medical applications. You will be tasked with setting up the Cadence design environment, managing design tools, installing PDKs and being the single point of contact in relation to troubling shooting and support with Cadence. For around 5 months of the year you will be involved in Analog IC Layout so proficiency in layout is important for this position.

You will be responsible for setting up the IT infrastructure/server and its maintenance in a linux environment and setting up Cadence server for IC design and simulation.

Industry degree qualified (or equivalent) the successful CAD Support Engineer will have established experience within a similar role. Being able to working independently and on your own initiative, you will work well within a team and be happy to get involved in a variety of tasks. Excellent proficiency with supporting design tools is essential. Experience in simple server/database/front end GUI development would be ideal.
