Digital Design Engineer - Edinburgh 

This role offers the opportunity to work within the Imaging Division of a Global Semiconductor company as a Digital Design Engineer. This team has rapidly evolving applications and technologies as well as exposure to the full silicon chip development process.

Located within Edinburgh the site is close to the beautiful and historic city centre, creating a great environment for commuting and socialising.

The role

• This is a critical role in the development of both new and existing products
• The entire spectrum of digital design flow including specification through to implementation, design and integration as well as testbench simulation, FPGA and SOC Verification.
• This is a multidisciplinary role offering exposure to a broad working experience and career progression

Key Criteria

• Degree within Electronic Engineering or related subject
• Strong competency within Digital theory, static timing analysis and high-speed/low power design techniques
• Verilog and System Verilog proficiency
• Cadence HDL simulation
• Scripting Language knowledge such as PERL and Python
• Practical System Verilog test benches experience

Desirable Skills:

• Understanding of  digital physical implementation flows
• Experience within a Lead role
• Strong communication skills to be utilised between roles with other disciplines such as Validation and Product Test
