My client is a highly regarded vendor on the forefront of telecommunications equipment based in the Thames Valley area.
This exciting new role as a Hardware Design Engineer entails responsibility for design and transfer of products at both board level and assembly level. In addition to this, this role would also see you maintaining and redesigning legacy production designs dealing with component obsolescence and overall cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

-Designing and maintaining hardware designs (FPGA, PSU and Analogue/Analog)
-Circuit Design, Prototyping and Simulation
-Organise and manage transfer to full production, maintenance of revision control with sub-contractors.
-Carry out pre-compliancy to regulatory testing and support tests for certified bodies.
-Accelerated and environmental life testing.


-Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
-Previous experience in the design and maintenance of electronic hardware in the following areas (Design, Simulation, Board layout, Prototype manufacture, Design verification and Schematic Capture)
-Labview, FPGA, VDHL experience (highly sought but not essential)
-Radio frequency electronic design (highly sought but not essential)
-Previous experience working alongside subcontractors.
